Hello, it's me.

Hi, my name is Janeene Scott, I’ve created my own life change and I have gone from “stitching up crooks to stitching up quilts”.

After working 22 years as a Police Officer I have used the past year as therapy…. Apparently I needed it!!! And I have been busy designing and making my own sewing patterns for quilts, cushions bags and home creations.

Nothing brings me more pleasure than seeing a pile of fabrics, cutting and creating something, displaying it in my home or giving it as a present. Then have someone say, where did you get that, I love it and I can say I made it!!! I would like you  to have that feeling too.

I truly have a passionately sewn home and would like other people to “Make their Home Passionately Sewn”

I have been sewing since a young girl, when my nana taught me to sew on an old treadle sewing machine. I had to master a straight line, before she would teach me how to sew different seams. I remember it did take a while! When in my teens I began making my own clothes by cutting around dresses and skirts and making new patterns.

As I got older I began making quilts. I made my first quilt in 1999 out of green ticking squares. Since then I have been making quilts and items to decorate my home. At Christmas and birthdays I would always give my family and close friends a handmade present. If you come into my home it is decorated with my sewing and craft projects.

Passionately sewn has come about from my passion of having meaningful objects in my home.  I like things that have a story behind them.
