My new applique butterfly quilt
From feedback when I was at the Canberra craft show early in August, I had a number of requests to make a butterfly quilt. Well I have had the butterflies drawn for quite some time, just working out how to put them on a quilt.
I have even made one of my butterfly patterns for cushions for my daughter and some of her friends.
Anywho, I have finally designed the background and made the first butterfly. I am going to use a selection of 1930's fabric. I am a little excited!!! Just love this process.

It's been a year!
It's been a year since I have started my pattern design business of " passionately sewn ". It was this time last year when my great friend Val of My Patch fabrics in Milton took My Owl quilt to the Mad Quilters Gathering in Penrith.
She's there again this year and here's a pic of her stand. My quilts are hanging on the wall. The Kimono Girls and In The Wild quilt are mine! It's still so exciting. Just love designing.
Cheers

Button deer wall hanging
I like making projects for home. And I do love deer silhouettes. So here's my version of a button deer wall hanging. Most of these are glued on card and framed. But I hand sewed about 200 vintage buttons on fabric. Mmm I quite like how it worked out.

Fox cushion - Present for my good friend Rachel
I have just come back from two months camping and my good friend Rachel looked after posting out my patterns.
Which I really appreciated.
Anyhoo, I decided to make her a present.... To say thanks. She really likes foxes, so I designed and made her an appliqué fox cushion.
Hope she likes it!! My daughter miss J thought it was very cute..
Cheers Janeene
